Sarah Elizabeth is a native of Vestal, New York. Sarah studied Fine Art and Printmaking at Keystone College in La Plume, Pennsylvania. Artwork by Sarah has been exibited in the Scranton Area at both STEAMworks and the Keystone College Linder gallery.
Sarahs work focuses on her exploration of religion and her own, at times, conflicting religious experience. In her works, Sarah uses repetition and overlap to demonstrate the contrast between clarity and obscurity. Manipulating the clear image with repetition can obscure it in a way that expresses Sarah’s own relationship with religion.
With her handmade Book Art, both content and non-content, Sarah uses diffrent stitching and materials to explore this technical craft. These beautiful and unique items can include dissected church prints and leather work.
